RTU – Remote Terminal Unit – Intelligent Remote Receiver / Transmitter

The Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) has been designed to enable seamless integration of existing end terminals and to control and monitor both sensors and triggers. In addition, digital I/O and serial interfaces allow for the control and integration of third-party devices.

Furthermore, the RTU offers the same flexibility to connect to siren networks as do the ECN sirens.

  • Voice announcements – pre-recorded text messages and/or live voice messages (if supported by terminal device)
  • Integrated, fully-automatic self-testing capability – BITE (Built-In Test Equipment)
  • Monitoring of the terminal device (digital, analog, serial)
